New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) association with the MP Council of Science and Technology (MPCST) has organised a seminar on “Women Entrepreneurship and Skill Development in Post Covid Scenario”.
The event was held as an initiative by the Prestige Institute of Management and Research, MPCST to recognise the contributions made by female business owners in encouraging female entrepreneurship and promoting their financial independence.
On this occasion, Padamshri Janak Palta McGilligan who was awarded with Renu Jain with PIMR Inspiring Women Award shared her experiences with underprivileged girls from rural areas and initiatives taken to make those girls educated and self-dependent by helping them gain degrees.
The girls completed their education through the National Open School, teaching Batik painting, stitching readymade garments, etc. She also discussed her projects, which included teaching school dropouts how to start their own businesses and turning illiterate girls into entrepreneurs.
S Raman Iyer, Director of PIMR (UG) emphasised the significance of women entrepreneurs as contributors to a nation's economic and social growth. He also addressed the global goals of overcoming the challenges of poverty, leading to sustainable development.
In addition to this, Gaurav Goyal, Assistant Director, MSME DI Indore, Expert in Skill Development and Fenu Jain, Aashna Jain and Pooja Jain, the Founder of International Fine Arts Academy spoke at the seminar on the role of women entrepreneurs.
Vice President of International Business- Prestige Group, Brajesh Gupta stated that the MPCST is working to raise awareness of government programs aimed at helping young people realise their ambitions. Pallavi Vyas, Women Entrepreneur and Owner of Shanta Farms urged students to motivate females around them in contributing towards women's empowerment.
