OP Jindal Global University Hosts World Universities Summit 2024 for Global Collaboration

New Delhi: OP Jindal Global University (JGU) officially began the fourth edition of the World Universities Summit (WUS) 2024 under the theme "Universities of the Future: A Global Partnership for Social Justice and Sustainable Development" on February 19, 2024.

Subhas Sarkar, Union Minister of State for Education, inaugurated the World Universities Summit 2024 at OP Jindal Global University. The summit will include 25 online discussions and a higher education leaders conclave on the JGU University campus on February 21, 2024.

The International Institute for Higher Education Research and Capacity Building (IIHEd) is organising the three-day summit, which will bring together over 120 education leaders from 20 nations and more than 100 prominent universities throughout the world.

Speaking on this occasion, Swami Vivekananda Sarkar said, “We must have man-making, life making and character-building education. We need to reimagine the universities of the future for social responsibility, community engagement and sustainable development”.

The summit was attended by Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General of Association of Indian Universities; Virander S Chauhan, Former Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC); and Ashwin Fernandes, Executive Director of QS Quacquarelli Symonds India.
