Candidates interested in admission into NIT Agartala’s PhD program must fill out the application form online at @admission.nita.ac.in and submit important documents including academic certificates, age proof, and GATE/NET score.
The National Institute of Agartala has released an application for admission into its PhD program AY 2025. Candidates interested can submit applications online and pay the application fee of INR 500 for General and OBC category candidates.

NIT Agartala PhD Program Admission Documents Required
Candidates must have the following documents ready at the time of admission
- Proof of date of birth
- Photo ID proof,
- Marksheet of all semesters of master’s degree
- Past certificate of master’s degree
- GATE/NET etc scorecard
- Migration certificate
- Character certificate issued by the last institution
- Colored passport-size photograph
- Caster certificate (For SC/ST category)
NIT Agartala PhD Program Application Details
Interested candidates must go through the below-mentioned details for admission into the NIT Agartala PhD program
- The application can be submitted online @admission.nita.ac.in
- The admission portal runs best on the Mozilla Firefox browser
- Candidates are allowed to apply for multiple departments. Candidates will have to pay separate application fees for each department.
- After filling out the application form, candidates will receive the application ID and password in their registered email addresses.
- The pdf generated after filling out the form shall be printed and brought on the day of physical presence.
According to specialization, the admission exam will consist of a 30-mark multiple-choice question (MCQ) paper with both undergraduate and graduate-level questions. Those chosen following the admission exam must show up for the interview. The candidate's academic standing and seat availability may be taken into consideration while making the ultimate decision for admission.
