NIMHANS Bangalore Invites Applications for Certificate Course in Trauma Care

New Delhi: The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) Bangalore is currently accepting applications for its Certificate Course in Crisis Intervention and Social Work Practice in Trauma Care. The course is overseen by the Department of Psychiatric Social Work. 

The last date to apply for the certificate course is March 18, 2024. The online interview will take place on March 20, 2024. If you are selected, you will be contacted by March 23, 2024. The certificate course will last for 3 months, from April 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024.

Key Highlights of Certificate Course in Crisis Intervention and Social Work Practice in Trauma Care

The Certificate Course in Crisis Intervention and Social Work Practice in Trauma Care will gear you with all the knowledge and skills to provide psychosocial support during traumatic situations or emergencies. The course will take place in the NIMHANS Bangalore campus with a total fee of INR 9000/-.

The course is designed for PG students in Social Work. It aims to impart hands-on training in Emergency and Trauma Care to students. It will include methods such as case-based learning, observational and hands-on training, and didactic interactive sessions under the supervision of faculty members.

Eligibility and Selection Process for NIMHANS Certificate Course 2024

Eligibility Criteria: You will be eligible for the course if you possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work from a recognized University with an aggregate of 55% marks. 

To be selected for admission, you will have to send an email to etcpswevents@gmail.com with the below-mentioned details: 

  • A one-page statement of purpose about why you want to pursue the course
  • Your biodata contains a recent passport-size photograph, your full postal address, email ID, and phone number.
  • Documentation of any research work or work experience you have.
