National Insurance Academy (NIA), Pune, has opened the admission process for its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme for the 2026 academic session. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online, with the last date to submit the application form set as March 15, 2026.

The two-year, full-time PGDM programme at NIA Pune is designed to prepare professionals for leadership roles in the insurance and financial services sector. The total tuition fee for the programme is ₹12,00,000 for two years. In addition, hostel and boarding charges amount to ₹2,00,000 for one year, with hostel facilities available only for first-year students.

Eligibility and Accepted Entrance Exams
Candidates applying for the PGDM programme must hold a graduate degree with at least 50% marks. NIA Pune accepts scores from CAT 2025, XAT 2026, and CMAT 2026 for shortlisting applicants. The upper age limit is 28 years for General, EWS, and OBC-NC candidates, and 30 years for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, as on July 1, 2026.

The institute has 180 AICTE-approved seats. These are distributed across categories, including Open, NC-OBC, SC, and ST. An EWS quota of 10% (18 seats) is applicable over and above the approved intake. Additionally, 5% seats are reserved for PwD candidates under horizontal reservation across all categories, subject to availability.

Expected Cut-off and Selection Process
The expected cut-off for General and EWS candidates is around 75 percentile in CAT, 80 in XAT, and 95 in CMAT, while slightly lower cut-offs apply to NC-OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories. Selection is based on a merit list, which considers entrance exam scores, past academic performance, group discussion, personal interview, and relevant work experience.
