In order to be verified during the interview, candidates must bring a printed copy of their application form along with their marksheets, category certificates, UGC/JRF/NET/SLET, and other papers.
North-Eastern Hill University has issued the timetable for its PhD in Sociology Interview and Entrance Test, as well as the merit list. Eligible candidates are invited to take the Entrance test on February 17, 2025, after which they may be allowed to attend the interview on the same date. NEHU PhD Program Interview and Entrance Important Instructions to Candidates
Candidates eligible must follow the below-written instructions:
- Candidates who qualify must adhere to the guidelines listed below:
- At the time of the interview, each applicant must present a printed copy of their application form for verification, along with their original documents and self-attested copies of their mark sheets, category certificates, UGC/JRF/NET/SLET, and other documents.
- Since the interview may last till the next day, candidates from out of town should plan to remain overnight and arrange their own transportation and lodging.

Candidates will only be invited to the interview if they pass the written entrance exam with 50% or higher (45% for SC/ST). On February 17, 2025, the list of candidates who have been shortlisted for the interview will be posted on the department notice board. The personal interview will then take place starting at 2:00 PM.
