MCC has released the eligibility criteria for Special Stray Vacancy Round Counseling 2024. The choice filling process will start from November 20, 2024 from 10 AM onwards.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced released the eligibility criteria for Special Stray Vacancy Round to fill the remaining vacant seats for NEET UG 2024 . This round ensures that valuable medical seats are not wasted due to non-joining or non-reporting of candidates in previous counselling rounds. The choice filling process will start from November 20, 2024 from 10 AM onwards.

Key Details of Special Stray Vacancy Round
- Eligibility Criteria for Participation:
- Eligible Candidates:
- Candidates who previously registered on the MCC portal and completed fee payment.
- Candidates who are not holding any seat in the previous rounds of NEET-UG Counselling 2024 (All India Quota, State Quota, or Deemed Universities).
- Ineligible Candidates:
- Candidates who did not register or pay fees earlier.
- Candidates already allotted and joined a seat in AIQ/State Counselling/Deemed University.
- Candidates allotted a seat in AIQ Round-3 or Stray Vacancy Round but failed to join.
- Eligible Candidates:
- Refundable Security Deposit:
- ₹50,000 for Government seats (AIQ candidates).
- ₹3,00,000 for Deemed University seats.
- Candidates failing to join the allotted seat will forfeit their deposit and will be debarred from NEET UG 2025.
- Choice Filling:
- Fresh choice filling is mandatory for participation in this round. Previous choices will be treated as null and void.
- Candidates must submit an undertaking on the MCC portal, affirming their commitment to join the allotted seat if selected.
- Important Rules:
- Candidates allotted a seat in this round must join with their original documents within the stipulated timeline.
- Those allotted a seat will be ineligible for state-level Special Stray Vacancy rounds.
Important Notes:
- Candidates should carefully evaluate their choices during the choice-filling process as the refundable security deposit will not be returned in case of non-joining.
- The MCC has urged candidates to take this round seriously to prevent the wastage of medical seats.
