New Delhi: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) has recorded an all-time high registration of 20.87 Lakh for this year. Out of the total applications, there are 12 Lakh female candidates have registered for the medical entrance exam.

According to the data, the number of registrations has increased to 20.87 Lakh for NEET UG 2023, which is over 2.57 Lakh more than last year’s registrations. This makes the NEET UG the largest entrance exam in India, followed by Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG).

For this year, Maharashtra recorded 2.8 Lakh applications and UP recorded 2.7 Lakh applications, which accounts for over 2 Lakh registrations for NEET UG 2023. While over 1 Lakh registrations came from Rajasthan, TN, Kerala, Karnataka, Bihar, Bengal and MP state.

Over 8.9 Lakh candidates have registered from the OBC category, which is the highest among all reserved categories. Over 3 Lakh SC candidates have applied for the exam, followed by 1.5 Lakh applications from the EWS category and 1.3 Lakh from the ST category candidates.

From General Category, over 6 Lakh students have applied for the medical entrance test. Candidates who have registered for NEET UG 2023 will be selected for admission to 1.4 Lakh MBBS/BDS seats in NEET scores accepting colleges and universities.

Following the NEET UG 2023 Exam Date, the entrance test is scheduled to be held on May 07, 2023 in various exam centers in India and abroad. The NEET UG 2023 question paper will include a test booklet in English for candidates who have opted for English as their medium.

Candidates opting for Hindi medium will be provided with a bilingual test booklet in English and Hindi language. In addition to this, those who have opted for regional languages will be given a bilingual Test Booklet in selected regional language and English.
