NEET PG 2024 Updates Released for Seat Contribution for Round 3 and Resignation Guidelines

The MCC has opened the portal for seat contributions for NEET PG Counselling 2024 Round 3, with a deadline of December 24, 2024. Additionally, candidates can resign from Round 1 and Round 2 seats until December 26, 2024, following the guidelines.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued two important notices regarding NEET PG Counselling 2024. These updates pertain to the contribution of seats for Round 3 and resignation from Round 1 and Round 2 seats. Below are the details of these announcements. NEET PG 2024

Contribution of Seats for Round 3

The MCC has opened the intra-MCC portal for participating PG institutes (AIQ/Deemed/Central Universities/Central Institutes) to contribute additional seats for Round 3 of NEET PG Counselling 2024.

Eligible Seats for Contribution:

  • Additional seats approved by NMC post Round 2.
  • Seats allocated via fresh LoPs or due to appeals.

Exclusions:

  • Vacant seats from Round 2 due to "Non-Reporting," "Cancellation," or "Resignation" are already in the system and should not be recontributed.
  • Duplication of such seats in the matrix will not be allowed.

Deadline for Contribution:

  • Last Date: December 24, 2024
  • Time: Until 5:00 PM

Institutes are urged to contribute the seats promptly within the given timeline to avoid discrepancies.

Resignation Guidelines for Round 1 and Round 2 Seats

To accommodate candidates wishing to resign from their seats due to personal or academic reasons, MCC has permitted resignations for Round 1 and Round 2 seat allocations.

Resignation Timeline:
  • Start Date: December 17, 2024 (4:00 PM)
  • End Date: December 26, 2024 (6:00 PM)
Important Instructions:

Candidates who resign their seats will forfeit their security deposit.

Eligible Candidates for Resignation:

  • Freshly allotted candidates in Round 2 who joined their seat but now wish to resign.
  • Candidates upgraded in Round 2 who joined the upgraded seat but wish to vacate it.

Process:

  • Candidates must report physically to the allotted college for resignation.
  • The resignation letter must be generated online through the MCC portal by the college.
  • Resignations not processed through the online system will be deemed null and void.
