The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has launched the application process for NEET MDS 2026. This year, the exam is scheduled for May 02, 2026, and serves as the single entrance gateway for MDS admissions across India. Candidates must possess a BDS degree from a university or institute recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI). Applicants must have permanent or provisional registration with the DCI or a State Dental Council (SDC). Completion of a one-year compulsory rotatory internship is mandatory. The cut-off date for internship completion is May 31, 2026. A minimum age of 20 years is required; there is no upper age limit for the examination.

The NEET MDS 2026 official bulletin introduces a structured timeline and specific financial requirements for applicants. A fee of ₹3,500 is set for General/OBC/EWS categories, while SC/ST/PWD candidates are charged ₹2,500.
