AIIMS New Delhi is not covered by NEET MDS as it conducts its own entrance (INI-CET).

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has launched the application process for NEET MDS 2026. Aspiring dental professionals can submit their applications online through the official portal until March 30, 2026. This year, the exam is scheduled for May 02, 2026, and serves as the single entrance gateway for MDS admissions across India. Candidates must ensure they meet the updated internship completion deadline of May 31, 2026, to remain eligible for the session.

Candidates must possess a BDS degree from a university or institute recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI). Applicants must have permanent or provisional registration with the DCI or a State Dental Council (SDC). Completion of a one-year compulsory rotatory internship is mandatory. The cut-off date for internship completion is May 31, 2026. A minimum age of 20 years is required; there is no upper age limit for the examination.
All India 50% Quota seats for MDS courses (all states). State Quota seats for all States and Union Territories. MDS courses at all Private Dental Colleges, Deemed Universities, and Central Universities. MDS courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions and the Army Dental Corps.
The NEET MDS 2026 official bulletin introduces a structured timeline and specific financial requirements for applicants. A fee of ₹3,500 is set for General/OBC/EWS categories, while SC/ST/PWD candidates are charged ₹2,500.
