NEET 2025 cutoff announcement date is expected to be in the second week of June 2025. The cutoff is expected to decrease this year due to higher difficulty and lower number of candidates. Check cutoff for admission to UG courses.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) generally schedules the NEET 2025 cutoff announcement date along with the NEET result. NEET Cut Off 2025 will be released in a PDF form on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. The cutoff percentile for Gen candidates is 50, 45% for Gen-PwD, and 40% for SC/ST/OBC and PwD candidates. NEET 2025 cutoff announcement date is expected to be on or before June 14, 2025.
In NEET 2025, around 23 lakh candidates had registered for the examination. Out of which, a total of 22.7 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. This is a decrease from last year’s attendance of 24 lakh candidates. The exam difficulty was higher this year. Therefore, experts predict that the NEET 2025 cutoff will be lower this year by at least 40-50 marks. More details will be available with NEET 2025 cutoff announcement.
Last year, the NEET cutoff 2024 increased to 720-162 from 720-137 for General candidates in 2023. The cutoff also rose for other categories - from 107 to 137 for OBC/SC/ST, and from 121 to 144 for Gen-PwD in 2024.
This year, NEET 2025 exam has been conducted today, May 4, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM in pen-and-paper mode. The exam is held in 5453 centers across India and 13 cities abroad. Candidates had to answer 180 MCQs in three hours for 720 marks. Physics and Chemistry sections had 45 questions, while Biology contained 90 questions.

NEET Cut-Off 2025 AIQ Vs State Counselling
NTA is expected to schedule the NEET 2025 cutoff announcement date in the 2nd week of June 2025. NEET admission is done under two significant quotas:
- All India Quota (AIQ) – 15% of all seats in government medical colleges are admitted through MCC's central counselling.
- State Quota Counselling – 85% seats for domicile candidates and filled by state authorities separately.
