MGCU Notice

The Mahatma Gandhi Central University has announced the PhD in Media Studies and Hindi merit list for the academic year 2025. Candidates with their names on the list will be invited for document verification on January 30, 2025, and must pay the requisite cost through the SAMARTH portal before the same date.

MGCU PhD Program Documents Required

Candidates will be required to submit the following documents for verification at the time of physical admission.

  • Copy of submitted online application form.
  • Marksheets and certificates for 10th, 12th, Graduation, Post-Graduation, and M.Phil. (Photocopies must be submitted and validated against originals).
  • Five passport-size photographs.
  • Certificate of UGC-NET/JRF, GATE/SLET/SET, etc. (Photocopy must be submitted and confirmed against original).
  • Self-attested copy of AADHAR card.
  • Bank account information for the student, including the account number, IFSC code, account holder's name, and bank address (attested photocopy).
  • A Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution where you last attended (original).
  • Affidavit for intervening period/gap of more than three years on 100/-stamp paper, if appropriate (original).
  • SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWS Certificate as per GOI requirements, when applicable (photocopy must be submitted and checked against original).
  • Employers should provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) where applicable. 12. Original Migration Certificate.

Candidates who fail to present any of the aforementioned documents will be held personally liable for the loss of their admission prospects. Further information will be given to the candidate's email address provided when they submit their application.
