MIT and Altair signed an MoU to solidify their partnership on Mechatronics Systems research and development on March 07, 2024. The Postgraduate Laboratory for the Department of Mechatronics was also inaugurated by Cdr Dr. Anil Rana on the same day.

New Delhi: The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), part of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, has recently come into a strategic partnership with Altair, Bangalore. The two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 07, 2024. The new partnership is aimed at enhancing education and research in the field of advanced mechatronic systems.
A training program on the “Design of High-Performance Mechatronic Systems using Altair’s Simulation and Artificial Intelligence Platform,” is a bug part of this collaboration. The program is taking place between March 04 and March 08, 2024. The program aims to upgrade design and development knowledge of mechatronics systems like IIOT, digital twins and AI-assisted simulation.
The new MIT x Altair collaboration will enrich the students’ research environment and provide practical learning for students.The program is meant to give students exposure and application of mechatronics design, analysis, and optimization processes.
A signing ceremony was held to solidify the partnership. Before the ceremony, a new PG Laboratory was inaugurated by Cdr Dr. Anil Rana at the Department of Mechatronics, MIT. The signing ceremony saw the presence of dignitaries such as Altair Senior Technical Director Mr. Sushil Mane, Altair Senior Sales Manager Mr. Ranjith Kumar H S and MAHE Registrar Dr. P. Giridhar Kane.
