New Delhi: An International Conference on Thermofluids and Manufacturing Science (ICTMS) was held by the KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering on March 07 and March 08, 2024. The event was also sponsored by the Indian government’s Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). The event saw delegates arrive from all over India.

The inauguration ceremony of ICTMS 2024 saw dignitaries such as chief guest Prof. Uday Shanker Dixit from IIT Guwahati, Vice Chancellor of KIIT University Prof. Saranjit Singh, and Conference Chair Prof. Bharat Chandra Routara, and DIrector R&D (Technology).

Glimpses of the KIIT School of Mechnical Engineering ICTMS 2024

The valedictory session, which included an award ceremony for the best papers, also welcomed dignitaries such as Prof Santanu Das from Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC), Prof. Saptarshi Basu from IISc Bangalore, and Dr. Gyan Sagar Sinha, Conference Secretary.

The conference included eight online and offline technical sessions. Awards worth INR 3000 were given by COMSOL to the top 3 universities: one paper from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE); one from NIT Jamshedpur; and one from BIT Mesra

At the inaugural session, chief guest Prof. Uday Shanker Dixit spoke about the need to achieve excellence in one’s work. In his keynote speech, Prof, Dixit also talked at length about the “Heat transfer modelling of manufacturing process”.
