New Delhi: The counselling dates for KGMU Junior Resident (Non-PG Junior Resident) positions for the academic year 2023-2024 have been released. The selection process included a written examination held on December 10, 2023

All the successful candidates will undergo the first counselling session on December 18, 2023, at Kalam Centre, KGMU, Lucknow, starting from 11:00 AM until its completion.

Candidates should note that the available seat count is subject to change based on circumstances, and precise seat information is accessible on the official website. All categories of candidates are welcome to engage in online counselling, requiring a non-refundable fee of INR 2000 to be deposited in the University Income Fund account at Indian Bank.

What Documents are Required for KGMU Junior Resident Positions Counselling?

  • Valid reservation certificates must be issued by the state of Uttar Pradesh, and OBC candidates must ensure that their certificates are not older than six months. 
  • During counselling, candidates must be present with all essential educational certificates (High School, Intermediate, MBBS, etc.), the original Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and two passport-size photographs.

How to Apply for KGMU's First Counseling for Junior Resident Seats?

To apply for KGMU's First Counseling for Junior Resident Seats, candidates must follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit KGMU's official website at www.kgmu.org.

Step 2: Go to the "Junior Resident Counselling" section.

Step 3: Review the counselling dates and venue details.

Step 4: Download and complete the required forms available on the site.

Step 5: Pay the non-refundable fee of Rs 2000 using the specified bank details.

Step 6: Submit the forms, fee receipt, and essential documents at the counselling venue on December 18, 2023, starting from 11:00 AM onwards.

Candidates who have successfully cleared the written examination must attend the counselling process offline (in person). Any mid-term resignations must adhere to the rules and require submission of an application form through the Head of the Department one month in advance; exceptions will not be accepted. Resignations from candidates bound by the Compulsory Government Service Bond will not be entertained mid-term.

Travel allowances for counselling attendance are not applicable. Candidates under a mandatory government service bond must furnish a No Objection Certificate issued by the Director General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, if participating in counselling while employed. 

Furthermore, the candidates serving in any government or central services need to provide a no-objection certificate from the competent authority.

The provisions of Government Order No. 6469 Sec-14/5-250/82 dated October 12, 1990, issued by the Uttar Pradesh Government, govern the eligibility for senior residency facilities. All relevant details can be accessed on the university's website www.kgmu.org, and no personal information will be disclosed to individual candidates
