New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi will offer three new MTech courses for all interested students from the academic session 2025-26. Additionally, JNU is preparing to launch 2 new BTech courses for the current academic year 2024-25.
As per JNU, the new MTech courses will begin in 2025. You can pursue subjects like Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Material Science and Technology at the JNU School of Engineering (SoE).
JNU Likely to Offer 2 New BTech Courses from Academic Year 2024-25
JNU will also add two new BTech courses, although the timeline for those is unconfirmed. Additionally, the present 5-year integrated M.Tech program will be replaced by JNU’s newest BTech courses starting next session. This step has been taken to address both the operational and placement-related issues faced by students as well as the university.
Professor Ankit Chaudhary, the Acting Dean of the JNU School of Engineering, mentioned during an interview that these programs would be launched soon. “We plan to open two new BTech programs in some areas of computing shortly,” said Choudhary.
“The SoE already has passed three MTech courses – MTech in Computer Science and Engineering; MTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering and MTech in Material Science and Technology. The admission will happen through Centralised Counselling for MTech (CCMT) from next year,” Ankit Chaudhary added.
