Candidates need to register for JNU 7th Convocation by Jan 25, 2024 by paying the registration fee of INR 1200.

New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will be conducting its 7th Convocation Ceremony on January 2, 2024. The event will be conducted in offline mode and will confer PhD Degrees to students who have successfully completed their course within January 15, 2024.
You will need to register for JNU convocation from January 10-25, 2024. The registration fee is INR 1200. You will also need to submit your ‘no dues certificate’ to participate in the event. Prof Satyabrata Patnaik is the head of the convocation committee.
"All eligible Ph.D students are required to register for the Convocation on payment of INR 1200 as registration fee, at the registration portal jnu.ac.in/convocation from January 10, 2024, to January 25, 2024," reads JNU's statement.
All the Deans of the Schools, Chairpersons of Special Centres and Centres of the School of Studies are requested to sent the list of all eligible Ph.D students of their schools/special centres/centres of the school of studies alongwith the names (s) of their supervisors, date of viva-voice and title of the doctoral thesis of eligible Ph.D students to the Evaluation Branch by January 10, 2024, for further necessary action, added JNU's statement.
Guidelines for Dresscode for JNU Convocation 2024
All dignitaries/on dais, Deans, Chairpersons, supervisors (faculty) and graduands are required to come in prescribed dress as mentioned below:
- White kurta, pyjama for males.
- White saree with a border for females or white kurta, salwar/churidar.
- The graduands will be provided a dupatta. The dupatta is available with Convocation Costume Committee. The convocation registration fee will cover the cost of dupatta form graduands only. Others have to purchase the dupatta from Convocation Costume Committee.
- No graduands will be allowed to attend the Convocation ceremony in a dress other than one specified for the Convocation.
- All University authorities and awardees are required to come in formal footwear to attend the ceremony.
- The Dignitaries on dais, Deans, Chairpersons, and Supervisors (faculty) will have to follow the dress code.
A mandatory rehearsal will be arranged in AICTE Auditorium on February 1, 2024 at 10 AM. Degree recipients who fail to attend rehearsal will not be allowed to attend the convocation.
