JC Bose University of Science & Technology PhD Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in pursuing a PhD program from JC Bose University of Science & Technology must meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have a master’s or equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or grade B on the UGC 7-point scale.
- A 5% relaxation (55% to 50%) is allowed for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), Differently-Abled, or those with a Master's before September 19, 1991.
- Equivalent degrees from foreign institutions accredited by recognized authorities are accepted, subject to University Board of Studies approval.
- Candidates awaiting results from their master's level exams may apply but must provide proof of passing before Pre-Ph.D. course admission.
- State reservation policy will be followed.
- Provisionally registered candidates must attend Pre-Ph.D. coursework for one semester.
JC Bose University of Science & Technology PhD Admission
The merit list for admission shall be prepared by the Department according to the following criteria:
- 70% marks of NET/GATE/other valid and qualifying National Level Test
- 30% marks based on performance in the interview/viva voce to be conducted by the respective department.
