Follow the steps below to check the List of candidates provisionally selected for admission to ph.D. program
- Visit the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee's official website, @iitr.ac.in.
- Scroll to the "Department" section on the homepage.
- Scroll to the "Management" section of the department.
- Under the notice tab, click the "LIST OF CANDIDATES PROVISIONALLY SELECTED FOR ADMISSION TO Ph.D. PROGRAMME SPRING SEMESTER 2024-25" announcement.
- The list will open.
IIT Roorkee Ph.D. Program Documents Required
The final admission of the candidates will be confirmed only after successful submission and verification of the documents mentioned below:
- Colored passport size photo (in JPEG only)
- Signature (in JPEG only)
- Certificate of EWS/OBC/SC/ST Category (PDF) (if applicable)
- 10th Grade Certificate/Marksheet (in one PDF file)
- Marksheet with 12th certificate/diploma (in one PDF)
- Final/consolidated marks or a bachelor's degree (in one PDF)
- If applicable, a master's degree or final/consolidated mark sheet (in a single PDF)
- Experience certificate(s) and, if appropriate, a single PDF No Objection Certificate (NOC) for in-service candidates
- Fellowship award letter (in one PDF), GATE scorecard, or NET scorecard (if applicable)

IIT Roorkee Ph.D. Program Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be eligible as per the below-mentioned criteria to get admission in the PhD program at IIT Roorkee
- Candidates must have received at least one fellowship, such as ICMR, UGC, CSER, DBT, DST, Inspire, etc.
- Applicants must submit their applications within 180 days, or six months, after the fellowship results are announced. Candidates are not eligible under the Rolling Advertisement if the fellowship outcome announcement date is more than six months (180 days) after the Ph.D. application submission date.
In addition to this, a candidate must meet the following minimal requirements in relevant fields in order to be considered for admission to the Institute's Ph.D. program.
- Applicants with a Master’s degree should satisfy the following:
- A minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 6.0 on a 10-point scale, or 60%, is required for the General, GEN-EWS, and OBC categories.
- A minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 55%, or 5.50 on a 10-point scale, is required for PWD, SC, and ST categories.
- Candidates holding a four-year bachelor's degree in any of the following categories (GEN, GEN-EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and PWD) should meet the requirements:
- Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI) candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 70%, or 7.0 on a 10-point scale.
- Candidates from non-CFTI colleges must have a minimum CGPA of 75%, or 7.50 on a 10-point scale.
- Candidates having bachelor's or master's degrees from IITs who fall into any of the following categories: GEN, GEN-EWS, OBC, SC, ST, or PWD, and who have a CGPA of 8.0 or higher on a 10-point scale.
