The selection for PhD at IIT Roorkee is provisional, subject to the fulfilment of all eligibility requirements and submitting of necessary documents, such as mark sheets and NET/GATE scorecards.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, has released the admission-cum-registration dates for the candidates having their name in the IIT Roorkee PhD program merit list. Candidates eligible must complete the online admission procedure by following the below-mentioned steps before January 11, 2025. The last date to submit all the required documents will be February 14, 2025.

Candidates who have their name in IIT Roorkee PhD program merit list must follow the schedule mentioned below:

IIT Roorkee PhD Program Admission-Cum-Registration Process

Follow the steps mentioned below to complete the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee Admission-Cum-Registration process.

Access the Admission site @admission.iitr.ac.in/#/account/login?returnUrl=%2Fhome with the login credentials you used to submit your application.
Some personal details will be auto-populated and cannot be changed. Candidates should fill in the blank fields.
Upload Documents- Please upload the relevant papers to the portal listed in Annexure-II.
Submit- Check the box for 'Declaration' and submit.
After successfully completing the admission-cum-registration process, candidates will get an email acknowledging their registration.

IIT Roorkee PhD Program Documents Required

The final admission of the candidates will be confirmed only after successful submission and verification of the documents mentioned below:

Colored passport-size photo (in JPEG only)
Signature (in JPEG only)
Certificate of EWS/OBC/SC/ST Category (PDF) (if applicable)
10th Grade Certificate/Marksheet (in one PDF file)
Marksheet with 12th certificate/diploma (in one PDF)
Final/consolidated marks or a bachelor's degree (in one PDF)
If applicable, a master's degree or final/consolidated mark sheet (in a single PDF)
Experience certificate(s) and, if appropriate, a single PDF No Objection Certificate (NOC) for in-service candidates
Fellowship award letter (in one PDF), GATE scorecard, or NET scorecard (if applicable)
