The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) is gearing up for its annual sports festival, Udghosh 2023. The institute has announced Udghosh National Open School Quiz (UNOSQ) for students from classes 5 to 12.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), is all set to host a much-anticipated event, titled "Udghosh: National Open School Quiz," in its annual sports festival, Udghosh 2023 for school students from classes 5 to 12. Candidates can register online through the official website unosq.udghosh.org.in. The last date to register is August 23, 2023.

The IIT Kanpur Udghosh National Open School Quiz contest will be divided into two phases where participants have to demonstrate their logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, general knowledge, and sports acumen.

The quiz is characterized by four pools with different age groups Pool A for youngsters (Classes 5 and 6), Pool B for rising stars (Classes 7 and 8), Pool C for champions (Classes 9 and 10), and Pool D for pioneers (Classes 11 and 12).

Candidates have to answer the question using their intellect during the first phase of the competition. In the first phase, the questions will be about logic, aptitude, problem-solving, general awareness, and knowledge of sports. It will be “a mental adventure that makes brains work faster and smarter.” The first phase will be conducted on August 27, 2023.

The second phase of the contest will be conducted on September 3, 2023. In this phase, the top 100 students will be able to participate and the questions will be more challenging and it will test participants' mettle and knowledge.

The UNOSQ will come to an end on September 7, 2023. On that day, the final winner will be announced. Candidates will be able to attend the interactive session with industry experts and thought leaders to get various insights and knowledge.

A felicitated event will be conducted at IIT Kanpur on October 8, 2023, as part of Udghosh 2023's concluding celebrations. During the event, the winners will get prizes for more than Rs 50,000 and various merchandise and goodies.
