IIT JAM 2026 Registration Deadline Extended to October 20; Check Complete Schedule Here

The registration process for IIT JAM 2026 is currently open for admission to MSc, Joint MSc–PhD, and MSc–PhD (Dual Degree) programs. The deadline to submit your application on the official website, jam2026.iitb.ac.in, has now been extended to October 20, 2025 (11:59 PM). The IIT JAM 2026 exam will be held on February 15, 2026.

Here’s a quick look at some of the key updates and announcements so far:

• The JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) went live on September 5, 2025.
• The first version of the official information brochure was released on August 22, 2025, followed by an updated version (1.1) on September 3, 2025.
• IIT Kanpur has announced three new programs this year:
  1. Integrated Ph.D. in Sustainable Energy Engineering (Minimum 6 Years)
  2. M.Sc. in Economics
  3. M.Sc.–Ph.D. Dual Degree in Chemistry

Candidates belonging to the PwD category who have opted for Compensatory Time and/or a Scribe can upload the required documents after completing the payment step on the portal.

If you’re planning to apply, make sure to complete the registration before the new extended deadline, October 20, 2025 (11:59 PM). Don’t wait till the last moment, as the portal may experience heavy traffic near the closing date.
