IIT JAM 2026 Fourth Seat Allotment Released; Check Last Date to Pay Fee

IIT Bombay has released the IIT JAM 2026 Fourth Admission List on jam2026.iitb.ac.in. Candidates who received an offer must accept the seat and pay the booking fee on the JOAPS portal by June 30, 2026 to confirm their admission.

IIT JAM 2026 Fourth Seat Allotment Out Last Date to Pay Fee June 30

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has released the Fourth Admission List. This institute is widely known as IIT Bombay. The list is for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026. It is now live on the official portal at jam2026.iitb.ac.in. Candidates who have a seat offer must respond on JOAPS. They must also pay the Seat Booking Fee online. The last date for both steps is June 30, 2026.

The acceptance and fee payment happen on the JOAPS portal. JOAPS is the Joint Admission Test for Masters Online Application Processing System. Candidates can access it at joaps.iitb.ac.in. Those who miss the June 30 deadline will lose their seat. Candidates with Accept with Upgrade status from earlier rounds must check JOAPS.

JAM 2026 Seat Booking Fee Structure

The Seat Booking Fee depends on the candidate's category. The fee is later adjusted against the admitting institute's admission fee. Candidates who paid this fee earlier need not pay again.

JAM 2026 Fourth Round Acceptance Options

Candidates with a seat offer must select one option on JOAPS. The choice must be made before June 30, 2026. The three options are listed below.

How to Accept the JAM 2026 Fourth Round Seat?

Visit the JOAPS portal at joaps.iitb.ac.in.
Log in with your JAM 2026 enrolment ID and password.
Open the Fourth Admission List section on the dashboard.
Select Accept and Freeze, Accept and Upgrade, or Reject and Quit.
Proceed to the secure online payment gateway.
Pay the Seat Booking Fee through net banking, card, or UPI.
Download and save the payment confirmation for future reference.

JAM 2026 Withdrawal Option

The withdrawal window opened on June 3, 2026. It closes on July 3, 2026. Candidates who paid the Seat Booking Fee can claim a refund. They can withdraw their seat during this window. A processing charge of Rs 6,000 is deducted from the refund. IIT Bombay will credit the refund by August 15, 2026. The amount goes back to the original payment account.
