The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT-GN) will host its 11th Academic Advisory Council (AAC) on January 8 and the 12th Leadership Conclave on January 9. It aims at bringing together industry.

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT-GN) will host its 11th Academic Advisory Council (AAC) and the 12th Leadership Conclave on January 8 and 9, 2024, respectively. This annual event is a pivotal platform, convening academic luminaries, industry experts, and the institute's faculty members. Their collective objective is to deliberate on strategic initiatives fostering the growth and advancement of IIT-GN.

The forthcoming 11th Academic Advisory Council session aims to craft robust strategies across various domains. These encompass the evaluation and progression of faculty, the enhancement of student welfare, the comprehensive development of staff, the inception of new academic programs, and the fortification of industry-academia collaborations at IIT Gandhinagar, as highlighted by the institution.

This significant event will witness the participation of twenty distinguished academics hailing from renowned institutions. Among them are representatives from esteemed universities such as the University of California and the University of Miami in the USA, ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon in Portugal, the University of South Florida, the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand, and stalwarts from IIMA, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, and IIT Delhi. Additionally, 30 members from IITGN's leadership cadre will contribute their expertise and insights.

Moving forward to January 9th, the 12th Leadership Conclave is scheduled to occur, drawing nearly 40 eminent thought leaders, industry titans, academics, venture capitalists, and startup mentors. Participants are slated to represent entities like Bankworld Inc and KAAJ ventures in the USA, the University of South Florida, ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon in Portugal, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, Nasscom Center of Excellence, and NAMTECH, among other influential organizations.

These back-to-back events are crucial avenues for IIT-GN to leverage collective wisdom, engage in transformative discussions, and forge actionable strategies to shape the institute's trajectory toward more outstanding excellence and innovation.

IIT Gandhinagar informed that “Twenty members of the IIT Gandhinagar will also take part to share ideas on creating leadership for academia, revenue growth for the long-term sustainability of the Institute, continuous engagement with the government, mission-oriented fundraising for infrastructure, and fostering industry-academia partnerships.”
