IIST Trivandrum PG Sponsored Admission 2026 Begins at iist.ac.in; Apply Till Mar 17

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) Trivandrum has announced the applications for admission to the Post Graduate programmes (M.Tech and Master's in Science) of the institute for the academic year 2026-2027.

The Institute offers a 2-year full-time PG programme where candidates shall be provided with 24 months’ study leave to pursue and complete PG programmes with a stay at IIST. Whereas PG Programmes leading to doctoral Programmes: Those Candidates with CGPA 7.00 and above, throughout the semesters, may register for PhD programmes (subject to vacancies) and complete the required coursework for Ph.D programme during the second year project period. Sponsored employees shall be entitled to 24 months' leave.

IIST Trivandrum PG Sponsored Admission Dates 2026

IIST Trivandrum offers programs across departments, including Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth & Space Science, which require a basic eligibility of BE, B.Tech, or M.Sc or equivalent degree in relevant subjects with a minimum of 60% marks forthe General & OBC categories. (55% marks for SC/ST& PwD category)

In addition to the above educational qualifications, a candidate having a B.E or B. Tech or Master’s degree in any area, can apply to a PG programme provided they have at least 3 years of work experience in that area. Further, the shortlisted candidates for M. Tech, Master of Science programmes are required to appear for a test or an interview that will be conducted through a virtual video conference.

IIST Trivandrum PG Sponsored Fee 2026

Candidates should visit the official website of IIST TRIVANDRUM to apply online and register to get credentials to log in to the admissions portal in future. Fill out the correct information and submit the application form and payment of the application fee.

The shortlist of candidates was earlier planned to be released in March through the online portal. To confirm a seat, candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee through e-pay.

If seats remain vacant, a fresh allotment list will be published on the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology website every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:00 PM. Candidates who are allotted a seat must pay the required fees by 11:00 AM on the next Wednesday, Friday, or Monday to confirm their admission to the allotted programme and branch. Any changes to this schedule will be announced on the website.
