IISER Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) has begun the Phd admission process, and the last date to apply is November 08. How To Apply?

Candidates should apply online only at the IISER TVM PhD Admission Portal. They should upload all required documents: a passport-size photograph, signature, Academic Transcripts, Cast Certificate, and DOB certificate. Biology Candidates should also submit a Statement of Purpose. Applicants should also provide the details of two referees, including name, affiliation, contact, and email. Pay the application fee: Rs. 500 (General/OBC) and Rs. 250 (SC/ST/PH), payable online. After submission, an acknowledgement email with the application number will be sent.

*Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee a call for the interview. Relaxation for reserved categories will be as per the rules of the Government of India.

Who can apply?

Those who have a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (or first-class equivalent) in a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline for General/OBC-NCL candidates and a minimum 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA for SC/ST and PwD candidates.BE/B. Tech graduates in relevant specialisations are eligible for select areas in Physics, Data Sciences, and EESS.

Examinations required of candidates who have qualified at least one of the following national-level exams: CSIR-JRF, UGC-JRF (Category I/II/III), GATE, or other exams specified in the school-specific criteria. Also, BS-MS/MSc/Integrated MSc students from IISERs, IITs, or IISc with a CGPA of 8/10 or above are exempted from national-level test requirements.

Candidates who hold JRFs working on extramural projects at IISER TVM with valid national-level qualifications can also apply. Candidates should apply before November 8th, 2025, for PhD programs.
