IISc Bangalore Releases New Admit Cards for GATE 2024 Haldwani Candidates

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has issued new admit cards for GATE 2024 candidates in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. Changes in exam centres have been communicated. The admit card doubles as a curfew pass, with either the printed Haldwani Centre admit card or the new Bareilly Centre admit card on a mobile phone being acceptable for entry.

Candidates initially scheduled for GATE 2024 sessions S5 and S6 on February 10 and 11, 2024 in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, now have new exam centres assigned in Bareilly, as stated in the official notification.

This procedure applies to students allocated to three exam centres: iON Digital Zone iDZ Teenpani (centre code 8406), iON Digital Zone iDZ Charayal (centre code 8407), and Swami Vivekanand College of Management and Technology (centre code 8408), iDZ Teenpani, and iDZ Charayal.

Students must display their GATE admit cards on mobile phones to enter Bareilly centres. Additional buses are arranged for candidates from Haldwani to reach Bareilly. The administering body has provided helpline numbers (01332-284531/8273020225) to assist candidates in transportation to the exam centres.

After several students reached out on social media platform X, IISc Bangalore announced this. GATE 2024 officials responded through their official X account, stating, "We are aware of the situation at Haldwani. We are closely working with the authorities and will communicate the next steps to the candidates."

GATE 2024 takes place over the weekends from February 3 to 11, 2024. The exams are divided into forenoon and afternoon sessions, with exams scheduled from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and afternoon session exams conducted between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
