IISc Bangalore Extends Deadline for Sponsored Programmes

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has extended the application deadline for M.Tech and M.Des programmes under the Sponsored Category to April 17, 2026. Interested candidates can submit their online applications through the official IISc admissions portal at iisc.ac.in. The extension was announced to provide additional time for sponsored category applicants to complete their application process. This deadline applies specifically to candidates applying under the sponsored category for the 2026-27 academic year.

IISc offers M.Tech and M.Des programmes designed for candidates with B.E./B.Tech or equivalent qualifications. Candidates must hold a valid GATE score card as of August 1, 2026, to be eligible for admission. The programmes provide advanced technical education and research opportunities in various specialisations. Both programmes are highly competitive with rigorous selection processes based on GATE scores and interview performance.
