IIM Visakhapatnam opens PGPMCI 2026 with a first-of-its-kind B.Tech-MBA Program! Applications can be submitted by students from NITs and IIITs until September 30, 2025.
The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) has officially opened applications for its Post Graduate Program in Management for Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (PGPMCI) 2026 batch. Interested candidates from NITs and IIITs can apply online before the last date, September 30, 2025.
Students can get a Diploma in Management after one year or an MBA after two years, without needing CAT exams. The program includes live online classes, hands-on campus learning, and a Capstone Project, while giving access to IIM Visakhapatnam’s alumni network.

Who Can Apply for IIM Visakhapatnam PGPMCI 2026?
IIM Visakhapatnam’s PGPMCI 2026 program is designed for NITs and IIITs graduates. Candidates can apply for IIM Visakhapatnam PGPMCI admission 2026 by paying a non-refundable fee of INR 250 for the application.
Module-1: Diploma in Business Management (DBM) - Students can complete the first year to earn a Diploma, and exit, or continue for a second year to receive an MBA.
- Undergraduate Students: 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year B.Tech students from Participating Technical Institutions (PTIs).
- Postgraduate Students: Any semester M.Tech students from PTIs.
- Alumni: B.Tech/M.Tech graduates from the current or immediate past academic year of all NITs and IIITs, irrespective of formal Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with IIMV.
Module-2: Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Second year leads to a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree for those who continue after the first year.
- Successful completion of Module-1.
- Completion of B.Tech degree before the commencement of Module-2 (not applicable to candidates who joined Module-1 while pursuing B.Tech).
How are candidates selected for the IIMV PGPMCI 2026?
The selection for the PGPMCI program will be based on the following components:
- Academic Performance: Weightage will be given to Class 10, Class 12, and undergraduate/postgraduate percentages.
- Aptitude Test: Candidates will be assessed through an aptitude test conducted by IIMV or based on valid scores from CAT, GRE, or GMAT.
- Gender Diversity: Additional weightage will be provided to female and transgender candidates to promote gender diversity.
- Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared considering all the above components.
