IIM Tiruchirappalli inaugurated the 4th Batch of PGPM-HR & EDPM, and 13th batch of PGPM on June 26, 2023.

New Delhi: IIM Tiruchirappalli inaugurated the 4th Batch of Post Graduate Programme in Management- Human Resources (PGPM-HR) & 4th batch of Executive Doctoral Programme in Management (EDPM), and 13th batch of Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) on June 26, 2023.

The chief guest for the event was Ms. Suparna Mitra, CEO of Titan Company Limited's Watches & Wearables Division. Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director of IIM Tiruchirappalli, Prof. V Gopal, Dean (Academics), Prof. Hari Sreekumar, Chairperson PGPM, Prof. Sirish Kumar Gouda, Chairperson DPR, Prof. Smita Prashant Chattopadhyay, Chairperson PGPM-HR, and many other dignitaries attended the event.

An invocation song and the lighting of the lamp served as the beginning of the celebration. The attendees were congratulated by Ms. Suparna Mitra on starting their educational journey. She addressed the audience as achievers and enlightened them by stating the importance of the three A's: authenticity, accountability, and ambition.

She stated that how having aspirations for oneself and the community, along with the courage to question the status quo, may help in creating a better society. She emphasised that integrity and accountability are related on a deeper level and exhorted the students to follow their moral convictions, even when they are difficult.

At the end of the session, she advised the students to choose a field that best suited and complemented them. Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director of IIM Tiruchirappalli, advised the attendees in his speech to gain knowledge and skills and to take every possible step to succeed in order to take advantage of this chance at IIM Tiruchirappalli.

He also urged the pupils to put self-control first in order to make learning enjoyable and simple. He discussed the necessity of accomplishing jobs flawlessly by being insightful and giving a special finishing touch.

The Dean of Academics, Prof. V Gopal, welcomed the new class and praised their zeal. He discussed the subtleties of a management programme and emphasized the value of peer learning.

Using examples from real-world situations, he presented the students to certain management concepts they would encounter along the way. The dignitaries and Chief Guest awarded the worthy DPM, PGPM, and PGPM-HR 2022-24 batch students with Director's Merit List honors.
