IIM Sambalpur to Set Up Its Delhi Campus and Offer Courses for Entrepreneurs & Working Professionals

Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Sambalpur is all set to launch its new campus in the national capital, Delhi. The New Capus will offer courses to working professionals and entrepreneurs.

IIM Sambalpur to Set Up Its Delhi Campus

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Sambalpur's Director Mahadeo Jaiswal, said that the institute is all set to launch its new campus in the national capital, Delhi, where it will offer courses to working professionals and entrepreneurs.

Speaking about the programme, Dr. Jaiswal said that the Delhi campus of IIM Sambalpur aims to attract people intending to pursue management studies while continuing with their professions and business and advancing their entrepreneurial skills.

The primary goal of launching a centre in Delhi is to tap into a lot of working professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs who want to continue their respective trade and profession while pursuing management studies on the weekends from a premium IIM.

Further, Jaiswal said that the course participants would also have the choice of a dual degree from international universities. The nation's capital city of Delhi and the nearby NCR cities are home to a number of government and public sector organisations as well as the corporate and large family companies.

Signifying that there's a large pool of potential candidates, Jaiswal said that the Delhi campus will provide professionals, executives, and business owners with the chance to earn a management degree from a prestigious management institute like IIM in Delhi because there is no IIM in the national capital.

Speaking about the classes, Jaiswal said that regular classes will be held on campus with a well-balanced mixture of flipped classroom studies, lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, seminar presentations, assignments, and management games being used in a blended mode to educate the participants so they can develop into future innovative leaders.

Since its inception in 2015, the main campus of IIM-Sambalpur in Odisha, offers students with PG, PhD, and MDP programmes. Being a third-generation IIM, the management institute primarily focuses on three primary aspects: Teaching, Research, and Incubation.

According to Dr. Subhas Sakar, Minister of State for Education, Government of India, IIM Sambalpur stands for innovation, inclusion, and inclusivity and seeks to develop future leaders with an entrepreneurial spirit.
