Candidates must be eligible as per the below-mentioned criteria to be admitted to the IIM Sambalpur PhD program
- Master's degree or postgraduate diploma (2 years) from IITs/IIMs/other reputable universities, with at least 60% marks or comparable grade point average in both bachelor's and master's degrees.
- A professional qualification, such as CA, ICWA, or CS, along with a Bachelor's Degree with at least 60% or comparable grade points.
- A four-year, eight-semester Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering/B.Arch) with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 or equivalent percentage marks.
- Five-year Integrated Master's degree program in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate marks earned after graduating from higher secondary school (10+2) or equivalent.

- Conducting the PI procedure.
