New Delhi: IIM Sambalpur has successfully organised the ninth PAN-IIM World Management Conference (WMC) from January 21 to January 24, 2024. The four-day conference recorded active participation of over 712 academicians, industry leaders and experts from various domains.
As per IIM Sambalpur, the conference featured a variety of insightful panel discussions with directors of leading IIMs, accreditation and CHRO. AICTE Chairman TG Sitharam made the valedictory speech on the theme ‘Initiatives to shape leaders and drive world’s third largest economy’.
The 9th PAN IIM World Management Conference was attended by 18 participants from the doctoral consortium, 29 contributors who shared case studies with notes, and 665 submissions in the form of extended abstracts for research, conceptual papers, and full papers.
Additionally, the event was attended by Sachin Trivedi, Director of Deloitte Consulting; Ratnesh Jha, Executive Director of UN Global Compact; Shraddha Danani, a Tech-Entrepreneur and Keshav Rao, Director (personnel) of MCL Auditorium among others.

IIM World Management Conference 2024 Overview
The theme of the IIM directors’ panel was ‘Building managerial capacities to enhance collaboration between industry and society’. The panel was attended by IIM Sambalpur Director Mahadeo Jaiswal, IIM Kashipur Director Kulbhushan Balooni, IIM Bangalore Director Rishikesha T Krishnan, IIM Nagpur Director Bhimaraya Metri, IIM Jammu Director BS Sahay and IRMA Director Umakant Dash.
Day 2 of the 9th PAN IIM World Management Conference featured themes like ‘Digital governance and public policy’ delivered by Odisha Fire and Emergency Department Director General Sudhanshu Sarangi and CEO panel discussion on the topic ‘Develop strategies to address challenges of implementing ESG initiatives’.
Speaking on this occasion, IIM Sambalpur Director Mahadeo Jaiswal said, "The ecosystem at IIM Sambalpur, centered around the principles of Innovation, Inclusiveness, and Integrity, which has significantly contributed to our distinctiveness. Our commitment to inclusiveness prompted a notable change in our admissions policy to strive for a better gender balance.”
