IIM Sambalpur concluded its sixth and seventh annual convocation ceremony & conferred degrees on 320 graduates from the 2020–2022 and 2021–2023 batches.
New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management, Sambalpur's sixth and seventh annual convocation ceremonies have ended. An official statement from IIM Sambalpur states that the sixth (2020-22 batch) and seventh (2021-23 batch) convocations were held.
The Chairman's Gold Medal for Scholastic Performance was given to Yashi Sharma of the 2020–22 batch and Astha Garg of the 2021–23 batch for achieving first place based on highest CGPA. Ambuj Priyadarshi from grade six and Gomathi SR from grade seven received the Director's Gold Medal for Scholastic Performance for coming in second place based on the second-best CGPA.
The IIM Sambalpur Gold Medal was given to Shreem Kohli from the 2020–22 batch and Preeti Joshi from the 2021–23 cohort, respectively, for the highest overall achievement based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and institutional building efforts.
Similarly, the top performers of the two batches (2020-22 and 2021-23), Yashi Sharma and Astha Garg, received the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) Signature Award. The highest package this year at IIM Sambalpur was INR 64.61 lakh (domestic) and INR 64.15 lakh (international), a fantastic 100% placement rate.
This exceptional accomplishment demonstrates an astounding increase of 146.7% over the prior year. According to Mahadeo Jaiswal, director of IIM Sambalpur, "there has also been a positive growth of 26% in average compensation and 29% in average salary, which confirms the institute's commitment to providing abundant employment possibilities for its alumni.
