IIM Jammu, SIDBI Collaborates to Offer STEM Program for J-K and Ladakh Youths

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM Jammu) has joined hands with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) to jointly launch the Skill to Enterprise Module (STEM) Program for the students of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

As per IIM Jammu, the one-year STEM program is specially designed to equip students with the skills, resources and knowledge to start their businesses. It will further provide them with guidance and an opportunity to expand their business. 

The programme is targeted at individuals who have technical skills and wish to start their businesses. The Skill to Enterprise Module Program will help participants seeking financial independence and offer them guidance through industry mentorship and incubation.

Speaking on this occasion, IIM Jammu CEISD Chairperson Muqbil Burhan shared that the STEM program will provide four weeks of residential training coupled with eight weeks of virtual training to cover topics such as understanding business management, compliance, finance, planning, and strategic aspects of running a business.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Guest SIDBI Deputy General Manager (DGM) Subhransu S Acharya, Guest of Honour DGM Rishi Pandey, IIM Jammu Director BS Sahay as well as other IIM Jammu faculty members and officials of both institutions.
