IIM Jammu Conducts Third Batch of FDP for Principals of J

New Delhi: IIM Jammu is conducting the third batch of the Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Education Leadership Development Training Programme," for college principals in Jammu and Kashmir. The program will be held from March 11 to March 15, 2024.

Through its FDP program, IIM Jammu will train college educators in the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) implementation, instructional leadership improvement, innovation, and adaptability encouragement. 

The program also covers topics like data-informed decision-making skills, effective communication, and cultural competence promotion. The training program started on March 11 at the institute's Srinagar campus for all interested participants. 

Speaking on this occasion, IIM Jammu Director BS Sahay shared that the FDP represents IIM Jammu's deep-rooted dedication to educational innovation and excellence. He encouraged attendees to motivate youths to apply for competitive exams like CAT, GATE, JEE, and NEET.

He expressed optimism that such initiatives would contribute to a brighter future in education, aligning with national priorities. The director also motivated the principals to participate in NIRF Rankings and collaborate on joint research programs with IIM Jammu.

Jabir Ali, Dean of Academics at IIM Jammu added, “I would like to urge that educational institutes work together and collaborate for nation-building and global progress”.
