The valedictory batches had many students from different parts of West Asia, including UAE and Saudi Arabia. The students were addressed by Prof, Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore. He delivered an encouraging message to all 73 attending students.

New Delhi: The Valedictory function for IIM Indore’s Batches 12 and 13 of the General Management Program for Executives took place on February 29, 2024. Certificates were awarded to 73 participants, as well as groups with the best performances.
The ceremony was also attended by dignitaries like the Director of IIM Indore Prof. Himanshu Rai, Program Coordinator Prof. Manish Popli, and Dr. Mahesh Chotrani, the Director of Anisuma Training Institute.
Batch 12 had a total of 28 participants - 27 male, and 1 female. Batch 13 comprised of 34 male and 11 female participants. The graduates hailed from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. The students were also addressed by the dignitaries present at the occasion.
Prof. Rai spoke about the importance of constant learning and professional growth in the dynamic business landscape of the 21st century. “Ensure you have a discipline in your life – for which you need courage. Courage, resilience, and grit are indispensable virtues in navigating life’s myriad challenges,” he stated.
He also spoke about the power of self-reflection and mindfulness for a fulfilling balance of work and life. “Reflecting on our purpose, setting meaningful life goals, and discerning the essence of what truly matters are essential practices for personal growth and fulfillment,” he said.
During his turn to speak to the students, Prof. Manish Popli acknowledged the success of the students in completing such a demanding course. He spoke about keeping a “growth mindset” and overcoming challenges in business by keeping one’s eyes firmly fixed on growth.
“Remember forever why you chose this program, all the moments you were able to implement the learnings and the friends you made - that’s what makes this journey memorable,” he told them.
Bringing the ceremony to a close with a vote of thanks, Dr. Mahesh Chotrani emphasized the transformative power of education. He thanked all the GMPe stakeholders who contributed to the success of the program and encouraged the students to show excellent results in their future roles as working professionals.
