The highest domestic salary package offered was ₹1.1 crore per annum, marking the second-highest Maximum Earning Potential (MEP) in five years. IIM Ahmedabad Placement 2025 Highlights
Consulting remained the top choice among graduates, with nearly 39% of the batch opting for roles in this sector. The BFSI sector's share increased to 25%, up from 15-22% in previous years, indicating a growing interest in financial roles.
Other sectors, such as FMCG and IT, also contributed significantly to the placement statistics, with top offers reaching up to ₹60 lakh per annum in consulting and ₹44.8 lakh per annum in product management roles.
The number of international placements saw a decline this year, with only two students securing roles abroad, both in consulting positions in Dubai. This marks the lowest number of international placements in five years for IIM Ahmedabad, possibly reflecting global economic uncertainties.
Prof. Viswanath Pingali, Chairperson of Placements at IIM Ahmedabad, said that the results reflect the continued trust recruiters are showing in IIMA graduates. He further added that the institute aims to match each student with roles that closely align with their career goals, even in a challenging business environment.
Atharva Kapadnis, the Recruitment Secretary, highlighted that the placement process was structured to give students maximum flexibility. Graduates were able to explore multiple opportunities and secure positions that fit their aspirations, even after receiving initial offers.
According to the institute, the 2025 placement cycle saw participation from a broader range of companies and offered a wider variety of roles across different industries.
The report indicates that both the number of recruiters and the salary packages increased, showing IIM Ahmedabad's reputation as a leading destination for aspiring leaders and management professionals.
Candidates who have received offers are advised to complete their acceptance formalities as soon as possible. The placement office will provide guidance on the next steps, including documentation and onboarding procedures.
