ICAI Postpones CA Final for May 9-14, 2025 Papers Amid Tense Security Situation, Check Revised Date

In view of the tense and the security situation in the country, ICAI has postponed the remaining papers of the Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course Examinations, May 2025, from 9th May 2025 to 14th May 2025.

The tension between India and Pakistan has hit students as well. The postponement of the ICAI CA May 2025 exam comes because of the tense and security situation in the country. The ICAI exams were scheduled to be held from May 9 to 14. The revised dates will be announced in “due course”, ICAI said while announcing the postponement of the exams.

The India-Pakistan conflict impact is also being seen in Kashmir, where Kashmir University and Cluster University have postponed their exams scheduled during this period.

Which ICAI Exams are Postponed?

According to the original ICAI exam dates schedule of 2025:

• CA Final Group II exams were to be held on May 8, 10, and 13.
• CA Intermediate Group II papers were planned for May 9, 11, and 14.

All of these now fall under the ICAI exam postponement news. The Post Qualification Course (PQC) International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT – AT), which consists of four-hour-long papers, has also been postponed.

Which ICAI exams are Not Postponed?

The CA Foundation course exams will continue as scheduled.

• The rest of the CA Final exams -- set for May 15, 17, 19, and 21 are not affected.
• The exams will also proceed as planned in 9 international centers like Dubai, Doha, Muscat, and Kathmandu.

Candidates can write their answers in English or Hindi, except for the International Taxation papers, which are only in English.

Students preparing for their CA intermediate and final exams are advised not to panic and follow these guidelines till the new exam dates are announced:

• Stay connected with their respective coaching centers and examination coordinators.

• Continue their preparation and remain mentally prepared for revised dates, which will likely be announced once the security situation stabilizes.
