HPNLU Shimla: Fee Structure 2026 Released

The Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) Shimla has released the fee structure for its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs for the academic year 2026. The university offers programs in BA LLB, BBA LLB, LLM, and PhD. Below is the free structure of each program.

According to the official notification, there will be a 5% increase in fees for each academic session of each programme.

HPNLU Shimla UG Fee 2026

The total academic fee for the BA/BBA LLB (Hons) batch 2026 is INR 14.95 Lakhs.

Candidates with 10+2 with an aggregate of 50% are eligible for BA LLB (Hons) / BBA LLB (Hons) admission. Applicants seeking admission to BA LLB (Hons) / BBA LLB (Hons) at HPNLU are selected based on their merit in the CLAT UG, followed by the counselling conducted by the Consortium of NLUs.

The total academic fee LLM batch 2026 is INR 2.32 Lakhs- INR 4.47 Lakhs.

Candidates with a 3-year LLB degree or a 5-year Integrated LLB with an aggregate of 50% marks are eligible for admission to the LLM program at HPNLU. A relaxation of 5% (45% marks) is offered for candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories. Applicants seeking admission to LLM at HPNLU are selected based on their merit in the CLAT PG, followed by the counselling conducted by the Consortium of NLUs.

HPNLU Shimla PhD Fee 2026

The total academic fee for the PhD batch 2026 is INR 3.23 Lakhs- INR 3.69 Lakhs

Applicants with a Master's degree with an aggregate of 55% marks (50% for OBC / SC / ST / PwD) from a recognised university are eligible for admission to the PhD program at HPNLU. Admission to the PhD will be done based on merit in the entrance test conducted by the university, followed by a personal interview. Candidates who have qualified in UGC NET / JRF can directly appear for the further admission process.
