Galgotias University PhD Admission 2024-25: Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eligible for admission to the PhD program, candidates must have a Master's degree or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks or a CGPA of 6.0. Degrees from foreign institutions must be accredited by an official body recognized in that country for assessing educational quality.
  • Applicants with the required qualifications should ideally have a strong academic or professional record in their field.

Galgotias University PhD Admission 2024-25: Admission Process

Admission to the PhD program is a two-stage process:

  1. PhD Entrance Test (PET)
  2. Personal Interview (PI)

The Entrance Test is qualifying, with a minimum score of 50%. The test will have 50% questions on research methodology and 50% on the relevant discipline. It will be held at designated centers, with any changes announced in advance.

A viva-voce interview will be held for the final candidates, where they will present their research interests to the University Research Committee.

Exemptions from the Entrance Test

  • Candidates with an M.Phil. qualification (admitted via an Entrance Test)
  • Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET, GATE, or UGC-CSIR NET
  • Candidates transferring from another recognized university’s PhD program
  • Candidates from industry with 10+ years of experience
