The full form of BVetMed is Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine. This degree is awarded to the Veterinary graduates from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, University of London. The BVetMed Graduates are recognized as MRCVS (Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and are given the title of Veterinary Surgeons and this title is protected by law, that is, only the members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons may call themselves Veterinary Surgeons.

Ans. The difference is only in the name of these two courses.The Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) and the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) are equivalent degrees and graduates from both programmes can practise Animal Diagnosis as a Veterinarian or Veterinary Doctor. The term BVSc is practised in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India, while the term BVMS is common in the UK and other countries having an educational framework similar to the UK.
