IIM Bangalore Shines in Global Masters in Management Ranking; Beats IIM Ahmedabad to Secure #28 Rank

The Financial Times announced this year’s Financial Times Masters in Management rankings on September 7, 2025, with the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore securing the top spot in India and 28th position worldwide for its two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management.

Which Indian Institute Topped FT MiM Rankings 2025?

The FT MiM Rankings 2025 evaluate 100 business schools around the globe based on 19 criteria, including alumni advancement in their careers, salary increases, sustainability and diversity. A total of eleven Indian business schools made the top 100, which shows that they are getting greater levels of international recognition. IIM Bangalore’s PGP program climbed from 41 in 2024 to 28 in 2025, and became the only Indian institute in the global top 30.

“IIMB benchmarks its curriculum against the best in the world,” said Professor U Dinesh Kumar, Director-in-Charge, IIMB.

IIM Bangalore’s rise to 28th globally is driven by strong alumni outcomes, including a 47% salary increase, the highest among India’s top three B-schools. It ranks second in India for weighted salaries and improved significantly in sustainability, with its carbon footprint rank jumping from 73rd to 13th. The institution saw a major improvement on diversity, with female faculty members now at 25% and female students now at 40%.

Apart from IIM Bangalore, 10 other Indian institutions secured positions in the global FT MiM Ranking 2025 top 100 list. Below is the list of Indian institutes and their ranks:

Prospective students can apply for IIM Bangalore Admissions through the CAT Exam 2025, with registration closing on November 15, 2025. Shortlisted candidates will undergo interviews starting in February 2026.
