DU Revises Renumeration for MBBS, BDS Examiners

New Delhi: In a recent announcement, Delhi University revised the examination fees, remuneration, and TA/DA for examiners conducting MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, MD/MS, and DM/M. Ch. Exams. 

In a notification dated on February 19, 2024, Professor Ajay Kumar Arora, the Controller of Examination at D.U., announced the updated remuneration and examination fee rates. According to the revised rates, examiners will receive INR 900 per paper for setting a question paper, INR 1000 for serving as a coordinator/moderator for a question paper, and INR 25 for each paper or a minimum of INR 200 for evaluating a theory paper, among other adjustments. 

The fees for examining theses (MS/MDS/DM/MCh courses) is set at INR 1500 per examiner, while conducting practical/viva voce examinations will be rewarded with INR 3000 plus conveyance. Additionally, outside examiners will receive INR 3000 plus Travel Allowance.

The examination fees have undergone a revision as well. Students must now submit INR 4500 for each semester or per professional year examination, along with an equal amount of INR 4500 for supplementary examinations. In the case of Thesis submission for MD/MS/DM/MCh courses, the fee is INR 15000 each, with an additional charge of INR 1000 per day for late submissions.

The notification reads, "The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi, has been approved the revision of remuneration, Examination Fes, TA/DA for the Examiners. These revised rates are applicable for conducting B.Sc. (MT), Radiology, B. Tech., BC.. BAMS, BUMS, NHMS, MBBS, M. Sc. (MIT), M.Sc. (Respiratory Therapy), MPH, MD/MS, Diplomas (DGO, DCH, DHA, DRM, DDVL, DA) & DM/M.Ch. & Super-Specialty examinations."
