DU CSAS 2026 Round 2 Schedule Revised; Accept Seats till July 27

The University of Delhi (DU) has revised the UG 2026 Round 2 admission schedule under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). The updated notice was issued on July 26, 2026, extending the deadline for candidates to accept their allotted seats by one day. Candidates can access the revised schedule on the official admission portal at admission.uod.ac.in.

The extension comes after DU released the Round 2 seat allotment on July 25, 2026, at 12 PM, under which 24,814 fresh seat allocations were made. In addition, 30,682 candidates received upgrades to their preferred colleges or courses, while 63,756 candidates had already confirmed their admissions in Round 1. The revised timeline gives these candidates additional time to complete the admission formalities.

Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 must accept their allocation. The revised deadline for seat acceptance is now July 27, 2026, by 11:59 PM.

The earlier acceptance deadline was July 26, 2026. The one-day extension gives candidates more time to review their allotment and complete the required formalities. Other stages of the admission schedule have also been extended as per the revised notice.

Who Does This Revision Affect?

The revised schedule applies to every candidate allotted a Round 2 seat, including those who received fresh allocations and candidates who secured upgrades from Round 1. Students who selected the Float or Slide option are also covered under the revised timeline.

According to the University of Delhi, 24,814 candidates received fresh seat allocations in Round 2, while 30,682 candidates were upgraded to higher-preference colleges or programmes. The university had earlier completed Round 1 with 63,756 confirmed admissions, making Round 2 an important stage for candidates seeking better allotments.

The Round 2 seat allotment, released on July 25, 2026, covered candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1 as well as those who had opted for an upgrade through the CSAS portal.

How to Accept the Allotted Seat on the CSAS Portal?

Candidates should follow these steps to accept the Round 2 seat:

1. Visit the CSAS portal at ugadmission.uod.ac.in.
2. Log in using the CUET UG 2026 application number and password.
3. Check the allotted college and programme on the dashboard.
4. Click on the Accept Seat option to confirm the allotment.
5. Save the acknowledgement page for future reference.

After accepting the seat, the allotted college will verify the uploaded documents within the revised schedule. Candidates must complete the online admission fee payment after verification to confirm their admission.

Freeze, Float and Slide Explained

DU allows three upgrade choices after accepting a Round 2 seat. Freeze locks the current college and course for the candidate. Float keeps the course fixed while seeking a better college.

Slide keeps the college fixed while seeking a better course. Candidates must pick the option that best matches their preferences, as the selected option determines eligibility for Round 3 upgrades.
