DR MGR University, Maduravoyal, has extended the application deadline for the PhD and MS Research Programs for the January session 2026. Online applications are being accepted through the official website, drmgrdu.ac.in, by February 24, 2026.

DR MGR University Important Dates 2026

According to the official notification released by DR MGR University, the management will provide a stipend for full-time PhD Research scholars as follows: For Medical, Dental, AHS, Pharmacy, nursing, and Physiotherapy scholars, the stipend is INR 35,000, and for E&T, architecture, and Law scholars, the stipend is INR 25,000. For Humanities & Sciences, including Arts, Commerce, Management, Studies, and Computer Applications, scholars will receive a stipend of INR 21,000.

DR MGR University Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should hold a Master's degree in the relevant field of study. They must have secured a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from a university recognized by the institute. The candidate must also have a valid score in the Entrance Test conducted by the institute.

DR MGR University Selection Criteria

The admission to the PhD/MS Research programs is a multi-stage process.

1. Written Entrance Test: The primary stage involves the candidate appearing for a written entrance examination conducted by the university. The tentative date for this exam is February 7, 2026.
2. Interview: Candidates who are shortlisted based on their performance in the written test are then called for a personal interview.
3. Final Selection: The final selection of the candidate is based on their combined performance in the written entrance test and the interview.
4. Intimation: Selected candidates will be intimated starting from March 9, 2026.

While submitting the doctoral admission online eligibility form, candidates have to provide their emails, name, department, mobile number, mode of study, UG degree certificate, PG degree certificate, total average percentage of PG marks, NET, SLET certificate (if available), and GATE qualified certificate (if required).
