Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Design, Pune has begun admissions for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program for the year 2026. Candidates can apply before February 28, 2026. The entrance exam, the DPU All India Design Aptitude Test (DPU AIDAT), will be held on April 19, 2026.

This four-year full-time program is approved by AICTE and offers specializations in Fashion Design and Communication, Product Design, Communication Design, UI/UX Design, Interior Spatial and Furniture Design, and Animation and VFX Design.

Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Design application fee is Rs. 1,500, which is non-refundable. The program fee is Rs. 3,50,000 with an annual increase of 3%.

To be eligible for the B.Des Program, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education from any stream under a recognised board or university with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates appearing for their 10+2 exams are also eligible to apply. The selection process includes an online proctored aptitude test lasting 90 minutes with 100 marks, followed by a studio test, portfolio submission, and personal interview, collectively contributing another 100 marks. The aptitude test covers visualisation, observation, perception, creativity, reasoning, and design thinking.
