DOMS IIT Kanpur PGPEX-VLM Admission 2026 Schedule Revised; Check New Dates Here

The Department of Management Sciences (DOMS), IIT Kanpur is currently accepting applications for the PGPEX-VLM 2026-27 (20th Batch). As per the revised admission schedule, the written test and personal interview will be conducted on January 10, 2026, at the IIT Kanpur campus.

The programme is designed for experienced engineering professionals in manufacturing and allied sectors. Candidates must apply online within the announced deadline and ensure they meet the eligibility and work experience requirements to remain considered.

Eligibility for IIT Kanpur PGPEX-VLM 2026-27

Candidates for IIT Kanpur must satisfy both educational qualification and work experience criteria to be considered eligible for admission to the programme. Applicants should be first-class graduate engineers and must have secured first division/first-class marks from the secondary examination onwards.

In terms of work experience, self-sponsored candidates who are not in service are required to have a minimum of 4.5 years and a maximum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or related sectors. Sponsored candidates must have at least 4.5 years of work experience, with no upper limit on the maximum years.

Similarly, candidates on study leave also need a minimum of 4.5 years of experience and are eligible for placements only after submitting a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer; however, participation in the placement process does not guarantee placement. The cut-off date for calculating work experience is February 28, 2025, applicable for the 2025-26 academic year (19th batch).

Candidates are strongly advised to verify their eligibility before applying. Applications from candidates who do not meet the minimum work experience requirement will be rejected, and the application fee will not be refunded.

Any false information or suppression of facts may result in cancellation of candidature at any stage of the admission process.

Candidates shortlisted after the January 10, 2026 written test and interview will be considered for final admission. The final list of selected candidates will be announced on January 15, 2026, after which the admission formalities and programme onboarding process will begin.
