Delhi University’s 100th Convocation is going to be held on February 24, 2024. The chief guest of the event is Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar.

Delhi Universitys 100th Convocation Ceremony is Going to be Held on Feb 24

New Delhi: The University of Delhi is going to organize its 100th convocation ceremony this Saturday, February 24, 2024. The event will be organized in the Multipurpose Hall located at the Sports Complex of the DU.

Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar is the chief guest of the ceremony. Prof. Yogesh Singh, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi, will preside over the ceremony. About 1 lakh UG and PG students will be awarded the degrees.

Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor of the university said that changes are made in the convocation attire. Students will participate in the convocation wearing Indian attire. Many changes are made to the degree as well.

The Vice-Chancellor announced that the P.G. students would get a stole made of handloom fabric in a turquoise color with a golden border with the logos of the University and Shatabdi on either side. A stole made of yellow handloom fabric with a golden border and the Gujarat and Shatabdi logos of the university on both sides will be available to students.

A red handloom stole with a golden border featuring the university's and Shatabdi's logos on both sides will be provided to Ph.D., D.M., and M.Ch. students. He declared that the officers would wear purple stoles, while the heads of departments and principals would wear maroon stoles.

The name of the student’s mother has also been printed on the degree. Along with this, colored photographs of the students will also be printed. Prof. Yogesh said that the university will have 17 different security features, like currency notes. One family member with the participant is allowed to come, and food has been arranged for them as well.
