Delhi University and JGU jointly organize a nationwide Commerce Conference discussing diverse themes for a sustainable and innovative future.
New Delhi: The 74th Annual All India Commerce Conference (AICC) will be conducted between December 13 to 15, 2023. More than 2,500 delegates, including experts and scholars from various corners of India and the world, will converge for this collaborative knowledge-sharing session across both universities' campuses.
The event was conducted at the DU Department of Commerce of Delhi School of Economics in collaboration with the OP Jindal Global University.
The main theme of the conference was "One Earth-One Family-One Future," encapsulates the wide-ranging discussions on multifaceted topics such as the New Education Policy 2020's influence on Commerce and Management Education, the digital economy's influence on business, the evolution from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Start-ups, and achieving Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, among others.
Why was Annual All India Commerce Conference Conducted?
Prof. C. Raj Kumar, the Founding Vice-Chancellor of OP Jindal Global University, emphasized the event's significance, aligning it with the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”, highlighting the pivotal role institutions play in empowering Indian youth through commerce and management education.
Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh, a Professor at Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, highlighted the collaboration's importance in facilitating discussions on diverse themes and showcasing around 1800 research papers, fostering a broad spectrum of thoughts and ideas.
Prof. W K Sarwade, President of ICA, emphasized that the conference would facilitate discussions on numerous aspects of commerce education, drawing over 60 Deans, faculty, and 3000+ scholars and teachers, exploring e-commerce, management, and economy from various perspectives.
The event aims to be a platform for profound intellectual engagement, uniting scholars, faculty, and experts worldwide to delve into critical themes under the banner of 'One Earth-One Family-One Future.' The focus remains on fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in commerce education. This collective journey of knowledge-sharing and insights is committed to nurturing innovation and advancing excellence in commerce education.

The 74th AICC is sponsored by various esteemed organizations like the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), the Ministry of Education, the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), and the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO).
These collaborative efforts aim to stimulate meaningful discussions and forward-looking approaches to Commerce and Management Education, embracing the changing dynamics of the global economy.
