Total marks obtained in class 12th exams that are awarded by the Exam Board will also be considered. For a tie in normalized marks, a simulated tie-breaking procedure will be adopted which is as follows:
To break the tie, first, marks obtained in mathematics will be considered. Even after this, if the tie persists, then Physics marks followed by marks in Chemistry will be used.
Finally, combined marks of Mathematics or Biology along with Physics, then Mathematics or Biology and Chemistry, followed by Physics and Chemistry can be considered. In case the tie continues, total marks of Plus Two examinations will be used.

However, for a continuing tie, next the marks obtained in English, date of births, alphabetical order of names will be used in this order of priority. This alludes to the fact that name of the candidate will be used for the ultimate case in tie-breaking.
